Residential Scan-to-BIM Modeling for As-Built Documentation
This project involved the development of an accurate BIM model from laser-scanned data of an existing residential property. The objective was to convert point cloud information into a detailed parametric model that accurately represents the building’s current conditions, enabling better documentation, analysis, and future design or renovation planning.
PROCESS
Based on the point cloud information, the architectural elements of the building were carefully modeled to match the existing conditions. Special attention was given to roof geometry and façade details to ensure dimensional accuracy.
RESULTS
This Scan-to-BIM model provided a solid foundation for future design development, facility management, and construction planning.
