Residential As-Built BIM Model from Point Cloud Data
This project consisted of the creation of a detailed BIM model of an existing residential property using Scan-to-BIM methodology. Based on point cloud data captured during the site survey, the objective was to generate an accurate digital representation of the house to support documentation, analysis, and future renovation or planning activities.
PROCESS
Using the point cloud as a guide, the architectural elements of the building were carefully modeled. This included the main structural components, walls, floors, roof geometries, windows, doors, and exterior features such as the porch and entrance columns.
RESULTS
The final result is a precise as-built BIM model representing the existing residential structure. The model provided reliable information for architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
